My name is Marcia Spanick, I stand for a life of love, connection and unity. A world of peace is one that is possible, once we trust and believe. I've begun a journey and I'd like to call it "Wear The Love". I've created t-shirts for little kids that have empowering slogans on the back, they read "Tell me I matter", "I can hear everything you say" and "Tell me you are proud of me". These t-shirts are to act as a reminder, to evoke action in adults, and to create a type of awareness in us that we may not already have. I believe once every person on the earth knows how important they are, knows their self-worth, and really gets it that we will be living in that world of love, connection and unity. My vision is that every child gets to know they matter, and in turn everyone wins. In this project for every one t-shirt I sell I print two for donating to children all over. This journey began in February of 2011 and since then has been a very moving experience for me at 25 years old and one that I will never forget and will keep me doing this for the rest of my life!
Where the journey began, in the summer or 2011 I ventured off with four very dear friends of mine to Central America, we found ourselves in the midst of some of the most shocking realities of our lives. These beautiful little kids in their past had been living in Central Americas largest dump, La Chureca. These were the first of the children outside of the United States to be given my t-shirts, which perfectly read "Dime que tengo valor", translated in English literally means "Tell me I have value". It was during this trip that I realized the impact I want to make on this planet, since then I've had shirts printed and sent to Uruguay, Equador, Mexico, Panama, and Colombia. Within the United States shirts could be spotted in Illinois, New York City, Virginia, Ohio, Orlando and many other parts of South Florida. Continuing on this beautiful path I've only just began to create, I have big plans, and children all over the world get to be in these t-shirts.
