Finally in my own hometown! Miss Chriss Yoga has set out on a journey creating yoga for young people and she loves what we're doing so much that she has her young yogis in our shirts now in a small town called Jupiter, Florida. These children know what difference they are making and they are proud to be apart! Thank you Chrissy.

![]() A few very close friends of mine have started a project for the orphans of los Quinchos in Nicaragua. They are putting together a water treatment system so they have clean water available to them. Non-profit founder Anna Racicot, and her team of amazing leaders call themselves Vision of Change. Thank you for everything you do for this world. These t-shirts will be on their way to Central America in just a few days, these times always make me so happy inside. And a special thanks to Geri Fitzgerald for safely sending the tees to the orphanage, I know these children will adore you, and they will be very thankful for these shirts as well. In so many instances have I been asked by my partner or by family and friends to share my vision for these t-shirts and what it is I'm up to with them. In this particular moment I was asked by my partner to talk a little bit about them with her sister who came to live with us for a little while, from the Philippines, she came here to complete a leadership training, her reason for doing the training was to build her relationship with her four year old daughter, Kirsten. Beautiful, really. I'll never forget how I was listened to, so contently, so compassionately, she was listening to me like she was on my team and we had been leading this extraordinary project together, since the beginning of time. Tina, became my best friend, one day she would be my sister-in-law but right now she was my best friend; she IS my best friend. She has friends in her home country who own there own t-shirt company and in hopes she spoke to them before she tragically passed away with their brother, Albertson. Our goal is to have a couple thousand t-shirts printed in Cebu, Philippines by this Christmas (2013), a dedication to her daughter Kirsten, and also to our lost brother and sister, Tina and Albertson. I've decided there is no better way than to expand this idea into such a country in need and so close to their family.
Please and thank you for all of the growing support, I can't wait to really see the impact in numbers. It starts here with me. With all my love, I miss you Tina and Butchoy, I love you guys so much! I received a message from a good friend of mine, Stacey Eggemeyer.. (This is a must share)
"Hey I wanted to share this with you.. Just checked out your website and sent my sister the link. This was her response: 'Her shirts made me a better mom.... I would get on the boys and they would turn around to go do what I had said and their shirt says "TELL ME I MATTER" I was like aw man, come here!' Crying at work now.. Marcia, thank you so much. I cannot even begin to express how grateful I am. You are making a difference in the lives of the ones I love most" No, THANK YOU Stacey, you created that!! I love you. A special thanks to Kelly Kingston and Neily Buff, founders of local non-profit organization, Share The Stoke Foundation for bringing with them these so very important t-shirts to Central America yet again. I can never thank them enough for the contribution they have been to my vision. As we speak they are visiting Panama, next Colombia. T-shirts EVERYWHERE! So much love in my heart right now!
In just a couple days from now I will have in my hands my new t-shirts, they will read "Dim mwen inpòtan pou ou!", in English that literally means "Tell me my importance to you!". These t-shirts will be taken to Haiti on February 1, 2013. They will make an impact on the lives of the children in a few different orphanages there. As a start I will have a couple dozen donated, and in the near future in this country there will be thousands of children in my shirts! This is me living my vision! What is yours?
Now it's Wednesday, January 23, 2013 and February 1st is coming so quickly!! I am so excited and empowered at this moment.. I am about to roll up in yarn and tag these still warm from the press, beautiful t-shirts that read such a powerful, freeing slogan. There is no better feeling than knowing these t's will be on little orphans in just a couple of weeks, thank you to my mother and Miss Lynn Snow for all of the support!! |
